Most Veggies Made Great products are gluten-free and produced in a gluten-free facility. However, our Fruit Pockets are not gluten-free and are made with whole wheat flour. 

Our Fruit Pockets are produced in a separate manufacturing facility from our gluten-free items.  To maintain the gluten-free status of our other products, we source ingredients from certified gluten-free suppliers and follow strict food safety and quality standards.

Yes! We are certified Triangle KD.

Our products do not contain any peanuts or tree nuts, and are produced in a nut free facility.

No! Our products are made in a soy free facility.

None of our ingredients are GMO, nor from bio-engineered sources.

Although some of our Muffins do not contain dairy, they are made at a plant that produces products that do contain dairy, so they are not labeled as dairy free. All products that include dairy will have the dairy ingredient listed in the ingredient statement.

There is no meat in our products. In order for us to remain in compliance with Kosher certifications, we cannot combine meat/animal-derived ingredients with dairy, and as mentioned above, some of our products contain dairy.

The bacon taste actually comes from smokey pinto beans! Rest assured, there is no bacon in our products, but for those that do eat meat, they absolutely pair well with bacon or your protein of choice!

We recently updated the Blueberry Oat Muffin that replaces zucchini with yellow squash. The new recipe will have YELLOW SQUASH on the front of the packaging. While the intention with the recent update was to improve the muffin’s color and moisture, we’ve now heard from our most loyal fans that the original recipe holds a special place in your hearts (and stomachs). Based directly on your feedback, we’ve made the decision to bring back the ORIGINAL Blueberry Oat Muffin recipe with zucchini!

The comeback tour begins in February at Costco locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana, with a nationwide rollout across retail stores to follow in the first half of the year.  Since our muffins are frozen with a long shelf life, it may take a little time for the switch - but rest assured, the original recipe is on its way.  We truly appreciate your patience during this process and want to reassure you that the original recipe is coming back.

How to spot the original recipe:

Look for the package that calls out ZUCCHINI on the front. That’s how you’ll know you’ve got the original muffin you know and love.

Our products at Veggies Made Great are fully cooked and then frozen, so you can heat the product unwrapped in the oven, air fryer, or toaster oven until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

No! Our products are fully cooked before freezing. The FDA recommends heating the product to reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees before eating.

The plastic we use is BPA-free and safe for the microwave per FDA guidelines. We test samples daily as part of this protocol without incident.

The product is fully cooked and then frozen, but we do not use preservatives, so the freezer is the most natural way to keep the product safe from bacteria. We have tested the product and it is safe in the fridge for up to 7 days, so please refreeze as soon as possible. While we can't guarantee it'll taste as fresh as if it were kept frozen, it'll still be safe to eat. The FDA recommends heating the product to reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

Costco, as a company, takes the suggestions and comments of its members very seriously. So, the best way to get our products back in your Costco is to file a member request for Veggies Made Great at their customer service desk.  The opinions of Costco consumers do go a long way.

The packaging is made from Solid Bleach Sulfate and is recyclable. Solid Bleached Sulfate (SBS) paperboard is one of the most commonly used packaging boards and meets the food packaging industry's requirements in both the United States and Canada.
